I know the Linux lovers are burying their heads now. The one thing Linux couldn’t do by itself has become a reality for android: become the third major OS. Yes Android basically is Linux but its not as robust or graphically strong enough to be considered a true operating system, until now.
Everyone has seen android on a smartphone and have gotten use to its widget driven display. Is it good enough to run a tablet? Google thinks so and with Android 4.0 coming around the bend, next will be the year of the mobile computers. Its very understandable that the iPad is slowing down in sales. Its almost like a suburbanite watching in horror other suv’s driving by. Sure you have the BMW version it Ford and Dodge and foriegn version looks just the same with probably more bells and whistles.
So, back to our question. Will want to pay for an iPad next year when there will be tons of other cheaper more robust choices? You tell me.
