Are we really putting flash on the last trolley to never neverland? Most still can’t find a good free video app for their unrooted android devices. How are they supposed to watch espn videos once flash upgrades again?
The details are really sketchy but some say adobe will admit defeat later today and stop upgrading adobe flash for android and any other mobile platform. Is this true? Is this in honor of Steve Jobs? He had a point but his vision for html5 is too far into the future, right?
As a person who hacks and tests with his phone, my only consolation was that if all else failed at least I could go directly to websites on my device and watch/listen to media that way. Also, how helpful will the security updates be? Flash is large enough as a base install. How much more will security updates weigh?
I guess we’ll find out the real story sooner than later…sigh.
