Is The Samsung Galaxy S II Worth It?

I have been very fortunate to be reviewing smartphones these past couple of years. After a while the hardware all starts to look alike and the details begin to drone like a loud jet engine. Thankfully the white Samsung Galaxy S II is a refreshing breathe of fresh air.

We’ll skip the specs because most new phones now are also dual-core and larger than 4 inches in display size. What really counts is the look, the feel and the performance. The look of this white smartphone is undeniably iphone-ish. The only difference is the lack of glass and exterior metal antenna. With a sleek look and large screen, this phone is bound to break selling records for Tmobile.

How about the feel? Since it is made of plastic instead of glass and metal the feel is light but not cheap. Samsung has been listening to us and this model has improved over their older, cheaper feeling galaxy models.

What about the performance? This is where the Samsung Galaxy S II excels.
I’ve never used a smartphone this fast or logical. Android 2.3.X runs like a BMW with no hiccups except for the free scrabble app test that no one ever passes. Will this phone work even more diligently with Android 4.0 installed? Supposedly we’ll find out soon enough.

So there it is. Thanks to Tmobile for sending us this great phone to review. Samsung has truly set the standard when it comes to Android phones. HTC is going to have a hard time gaining back their followers after they get their hands on this or the Galaxy Nexus. Of course this is just our opinion. What do you think of the Samsung Galaxy S II? Is it worth it?
