@areyouanandroid : @MrCapcomDS I think Android 2.3 is the windows XP of the mobile world. What do you think?
I love Windows XP at work. It’s relatively fast, direct and comparatively light. Most of today’s programs are made for XP and most of the Mainstream still use XP for their PC needs.
Windows XP is also easily manipulated, completely full of viruses and dated. If your computer gives you trouble and it has XP on it, most techs will tell you to use this oppurtunity to upgrade to a machine with Windows 7 on it.
Android right now is the same way. Android 2.3 “gingerbread” is fast, no nonsense and compromised. It’s look and feel brought Google up to the mobile big leagues, but now it is dated.
Honestly I still love Gingerbread and everytime I test anything with Android 4.0 or higher I go crazy. The look is dark and hacker sad(is that a real color?). Nothing is where it used to be menu wise and you have to buy a newer phone to have everything work correctly. Sounds familiar, right?
When Microsoft created Vista/Windows 7 the look changed, the feel changed and even the folder arrangement changed. Because of this Win7 is faster, leaner and safer than Windows XP. Is Android 4.X.X the same way? Yes and because of this Android is smoother and safer than ever before. I’m still trying to get used to it but I really have no other choice, none of us do.
When we buy a new PC we’ll have Win7(for now) and when we buy a new Android we’ll inherit ICS or JELLYBEAN. Tech forces us to adjust whether we want to or not. It is for our own good. The twitter user above tried to help me understand that before but I’m just now getting it…. How about you? Are you ready to upgrade?

Thats true. As far as the new additions to ICS and JB and the menu’s not being there they explained why they moved everything and it makes sense. Once you get used to it trust me you won’t miss them.
I know. I’m trying….
