Android’s popularity is exploding on all platforms. Legally Google was found not guilty when it comes to the Oracle/Android accusations and preorders for the Samsung Galaxy S III are at a really insane amount. It’s so insane, even K-Pop artists are capitalizing on the “Android” name:
On May 25th, the boys’ upcoming Japanese single ‘ANDROID‘ seized the #1 slot on major pre-order charts such as Tower Records, Amazon, Tsutaya, and more. TVXQ further drew interest by also managing to conquer the top three spots on Tower Records.
Will Android be able to fulfill the expectations of it’s user’s? Most Android devices are dual-core now so using apps like “Sidecar” and visually beautiful apps like “Pressreader” is getting easier. Even the rumors of 22 inch android tablets will be more believable and affordable as the months march on.
The biggest impact will come from the competition. Will Apple really release a 4inch display iPhone? Why not, they already added the android drag down feature in their software, changing the hardware to compete with Android would only be natural also.
How about the next version of Android? Will Jelly Bean and Key Lime Pie be incremental updates or full blown upgrades? We won’t know for sure until after Google I/O. What ever the answers will be it will be exciting and fun to watch Android continue to grow and get better…
via TVXQ claims the #1 spot on Japanese pre-order charts with “ANDROID”.

Let’s see how Apple will respond to this. I just can’t wait.
