Pushed the “publish” button too early on this one. FirefoxOS is a new open source mobile operating system created by the Mozilla foundation. Just looking at the above screen shot shows how beautiful html5 can be.
My question is, how will FirefoxOS last when WebOS didn’t? Is it because HP was closed but Mozilla is open? Are they counting on a new community of html5 developers to take over and gladly contribute to the new project?
They say that carriers are very interested. I’m not surprised since this OS will allow them to skin it their way in contrast with iOS and Android 4.1. We will report more as new information arrives.
