Found these interesting points over on Quora.com Let us know if you agree. The Italics are our additional notes:
- Free Google Navigation – Very true. Just had a user switch over to an iPhone and they immediately got lost on their next road trip because they were used to their Android giving them turn by turn voice directions.
- Superior Gmail experience (see: native app)- The web version is getting better but nothing beats the native gmail app, unless you are using K9 (which is on Android only and uses security keys and signatures)then you have reached the top of secure email productivity.
- Native Google Voice integration- Can’t live without this one and now that it allows you to text multiple contacts free of charge, well <insert awesome phrase here…>.
- Swype keyboard- Meh, it’s impressive but you forget how to use a normal keyboard after and sliding your finger across your PC keyboard at work is not cool.
- Chrome-to-Phone functionality- Novel. Not life changing but very convenient.
- Overall openness — Ability to root the phone and customize the keyboard, dialer, SMS program, email program, photo gallery, launcher, among other things… – All very true but not exclusive. Jailbreaking Apple devices allows the same “openess”.
