Great news that we already knew today, people use YouTube.com to listen to music. I too was very confused the first time I realized what was happening.  It was about a year ago. I sat down at the computer to do some work but I noticed my wife was already on YouTube.

When I mentioned it was my turn she wasn’t upset, she just minimized the browser and looked at me. I looked back and apologized for stopping her from watching the videos on her list. She just smiled back and said “oh no, I create the playlists and then make another tab to surf…”. It didn’t make sense to me at that moment so I just did what I was doing with nice music in the background.

Fast forward to today and you will find tons of android apps that use the YouTube api to stream music. There used to be more but in the early days Google banned a lot of them from the play app market.  Look at the above picture or simply search for “YouTube music”. It is really the easiest way to hear the latest music. Pandora and Slacker Radio takes months to get new tunes but YouTube apps get it the minute it is uploaded from the music companies and or the fans. Give it a try and let us know.
